With 27 years of experience in education, Mrs. Walker is passionate about empowering educators, supporting students, and creating learning environments where every scholar has the opportunity to flourish and thrive. She is a graduate of Louisiana State University, where she earned a Bachelor of Science in Education. Throughout her career, she has had the privilege of teaching first, fourth, and eighth grades in Evangeline Parish, St. Landry Parish, and Rapides Parish. As lead teacher, she strives to foster a positive, supportive, and collaborative culture where educators feel empowered to grow and refine their practice. By working closely with teachers, administration, students, and the broader school community, she is committed to supporting TJH's mission, vision, and goals to help ensure that every scholar has the tools, support, and opportunities needed to succeed. Mrs. Walker has been recognized as the Evangeline Parish Teacher of the Year three times and Brame Middle School Teacher of the Year in 2025. Above all, she believes that when educators are supported, empowered, and equipped with effective strategies, students are positioned to reach their fullest potential.

With a Master’s degree in Educational Leadership from the University of Louisiana at Lafayette (2017) and a Bachelor of Science from Louisiana State University of Alexandria (2007), Mrs. Christman brings 20 years of experience in education, including 6 years in an administrative capacity at the school. In her role as assistant principal, she plays a key role in improving student learning and fostering the overall growth of the school. By conducting regular observations and providing timely feedback, she helps teachers refine their practices and implement strategies that directly impact student achievement. She also supports the execution of the district's and school's vision, goals, and commitments, regularly monitoring student progress through quarterly data reviews and guiding teachers to do the same. This data-driven approach ensures continuous improvement and targeted interventions for students. Mrs. Christman’s dedication to excellence in education has earned her several accolades, including being named the 2016 Paradise Elementary Teacher of the Year, the 2021 Tioga Junior High School Teacher of the Year, and the 2021 Rapides Parish Middle/Junior High Teacher of the Year. These recognitions reflect her unwavering commitment to fostering a positive learning environment and helping students excel.
